pretty!

Hi Kids!!

so....

not alot to talk about this week.
Have been hammering myself when I have worked out and I LOVE IT!! I wish I realised I liked working out this much sooner!! I nearly quit half way through Kenpo tonight but kept at it and was soooo happy I did!

Eating clean has been going awesome - have been cooking alot of fresh food and making my own sauces etc for pasta and have been loving that too. Probably another thing I wish I realised I liked doing alot sooner. In saying that though I am starting on Lite and Easy this week. My chilly bin of goodies gets delivered tomorrow :) Now alot of people go on Lite and Easy specifically to lose weight - I have done it for convenience!! Great meals conveniently bagged for the week - couldn't ask for something simpler and healthier I reckon (www.liteneasy.com.au) << take a look. Its pretty rad.

Well as I said right up the top there I don't really have alot to talk about this week. oooooooooooohhhh but I do have a pretty good quote that I had to recite MANY times last week when I didn't feel like getting my ass off the couch:
"You never regret the work out you did. Only the one you didn't"

I'm off... Probably to bed. 9pm is late for me these days hehehe
Oh but before I do go don't forget - A 20 minute work out is better than a 0 minute workout.

Confessions

I'm gona kick this off with things I feel like I need to confess:

Rolling into the end of week 2 I got really slack - It started out with Thursday Yoga I got about 40 minutes into it and was just like "nah man" Now for me 40 minutes was good. Usually I go about 30 minutes and thats enough yoga for me!

Friday was legs and back - nothing.

Saturday was Kenpo - again nothing.

Not only did I not work out on Friday and Saturday (Sunday is rest day) but I made pretty poor food and drink choices. Well maybe not all weekend but Saturday night I had curry AND naan!! Awwwwww man!
Sunday morning I had the leftover curry and naan for breakkie and would like to shamefully admit that I also glugged some coke out of the bottle. Ew. I pretty much regretted the coke option right away.

Okay now that I've got those "confessions" off my chest I'll get onto some more positive things and how my clean eating went.

As you know - Saturday/Sunday morning were not too good but all in all throughout the week eating clean was mean!! - for the non kiwis reading this mean = awesome.
My insides absolutely loved me for it as did my skin, hair and nails! I felt great. I will admit though that apart from fruit, vege and meat, actually finding clean food to eat was a bit challenging. I never before noticed how much "stuff" goes into cans, spreads and jars. Its unreal the amount of chemicals we consume on a daily basis.

I know its only been 2 full weeks so haven't been expecting to see massive changes with the way my body looks but have noticed that I've lost boobie and ass weight!! hahaha. Will have to work on getting a perky bum but can honestly say I'm pretty keen to get these babies on my chest a bit smaller!

Bout that time to wrap this up so will leave you with what Tony Horton taught me after my work out today:

Don't let your ego get in the way of your success! Just keep showing up and keep pressing play!!

Week 1 down - 12 to go!

As the title tells - I am done with week 1.

So far its been pretty challenging. There have been times where I've really wanted to quit and just sit down and relax but the motivation from posting my commitment on face book has really kept me going! I'm so happy that I made that commitment publicly or I know I wouldn't be trying as hard as I am.

Now I really want to talk about my diet.

I would have to say my one downfall this week has been my food intake. Everyone who knows me knows I have a massive sweet tooth (I love me some lollies) My meals have been really good choices but it is the treats that let me down so my next commitment is to eat "clean" for the next 7 days to see how much of a difference this change makes to my energy and output.

Now some of you might be like what the heck is "eating clean"? To me its all about fresh!!
Anything processed or "man-made" are things I am going to avoid. This includes processed meats, lollies, chocolate, fizzy drinks, cordial - basically anything with chemicals and ingredients I don't recognise!!

Next Monday I'll let you all know exactly how this change helps and how I feel after :)

The next thing I want to touch on is how my body is reacting.

So far I haven't lost any "weight" but I tell you now and I tell you true - In just one week I have lost centimetres!! I really wish I had taken measurements on day one instead of just taking pictures and weighing myself. I have a couple pairs of pants that I wear that were just a wee bit toight on me that now fit real nice :) yay.

I am also having less trouble with my stomach - again those who know me know that I can't have dairy, bread - well basically anything thats not plants or meat that won't give me a sore tummy! I am pleased to announce that in just a week I am noticing a change :) things are getting better. I'm excited to see how this clean eating will help with this area of my life too..

I'll be back again in a week with an update on my progress and my new clean eating plan!
